The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Course Catalogs digital collection features volumes of bulletins ranging from 1891 to 2010. The course catalogs provide a glimpse into the history of higher education at the university, documenting course offerings, tuition and fees, administrators and faculty, academic calendars, and degree offerings.
This institution of learning has just completed its thirtieth year. In the first catalogue is to be found this statement: " With God's blessings on right principles and earnest labor the trustees expect it to attain and maintain a high rank among the literary institutions of the country." During the years since this declaration, the University has had its times of struggle and conflict; yet it has continued to develop, and has proved a blessing to many thousands of young people in bringing within their reach the advantages of a liberal education at moderate cost.
